Speak To The Mountain

feature photo

Regardless of what mountainous problems we may be facing in our lives, they are small in comparison to the Word of God. Jesus instructed us concerning this very issue. Look how He used the Word in the following passages.

Mark 11:22-24 (AMP)

22And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].
23Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.
24For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

Jesus specifically said we can speak the Word of God to the mountains in our lives and tell them to go.

Now Jesus was not talking about a mountain like Mt. Everest or Mt. McKinley. He was talking about a mountain of problems — a mountain of sickness, a mountain of fear, a mountain of bills piling up or a mountain of family problems.

Simply put, He was talking about whatever kind of mountain we might be facing.

What do we say to it? We tell it to be removed and cast into the sea. It is very important for us to speak directly to our mountain of need and tell it what to do. I say this because many people talk about their mountain, but Jesus said we are to tell it what to do.

Does that mean we can talk to our gallbladder or to cancer that has tried to attack our bodies? Yes! Moreover, we can talk to money shortages and family problems as well. We then must believe that those things which we say will come to pass, and refuse to doubt in our hearts.

Remember, Jesus told us to speak to the mountain. He did not tell us to have a conversation with it. In other words, do not talk about your mountain, and do not let it talk back to you.

In summary, we must speak directly to the mountains in our lives and tell them to line up with God’s Word and get out of our way. Then, believing what we say, the mountain has no choice — it has to obey us.

God Bless!
